Event overview:

The Queensland Government has committed to positioning the state as a hydrogen exporter of choice into key international markets.

To deliver on the opportunities from projected growth in global demand for renewable hydrogen over coming decades Queensland will need to combine its competitive advantages with the right policy settings, investments, and disciplined execution.

While Queensland progresses plans to be major player in renewable energy and new energy technologies CEDA convenes its members and guests from across the state to consider:

  • Hydrogen’s future use as a domestic fuel source and the potential to develop a significant export industry;
  • The positive implications for emissions reduction goals and accelerating the transition to a lower carbon future;
  • The progress of concurrent plans across the country to develop hydrogen – what it means for competition and investment; and
  • How developing hydrogen contributes to economic diversity and development and creates opportunities for regional Queensland.
