Clancestry First Nations Festival at QPAC & South Bank

CELEBRATE FIRST NATIONS ART AND CULTURE AT CLANCESTRY

Clancestry returns to QPAC in a festival celebrating First Nations arts and culture!

Come together to create, connect and share an exciting program of events including an uplifting musical journey with one of Australia’s leading didgeridoo players William Barton surrounded by the symphonic landscape of John Foreman’s magnificent 45-piece Australian Pops Orchestra, a concert featuring Troy Cassar-Daley and Dan Sultan bringing together incredible artists across different genres of music and generations, intimate theatre about disconnection and reconnection by Emily Wells, and a curated conversation series including an artist conversation with Leah Purcell

The Festival Ground at South Bank's Cultural Forecourt will also host an array of free events, including four jam-packed nights of amazing live music on the Mob Music Stage, featuring Birdz, Fred Leone, The Merindas, Barkaa, Andrew Gurruwiwi Band and more! Curious kids can explore, play and get their face painted at the Bubs and Cuzzies space between 10-12 November, featuring an interactive live stage show about a trio of talkative Birmba (cockatoos), circus workshops and an arts and cultural space for mums and bubs. Folks of all ages can create a masterpiece to take home in the fun and free drop-in Weaving Workshops while learning about weaving practices that have spanned generations.
