Entries for AACTA Pitch: Regional Landscapes in partnership with Screenworks are closing at 9am on Monday 1st March so get in quick to ensure your idea is in the mix!

#ICYMI, after a hugely successful inaugural year of competition in 2020, AACTA and Screenworks are back and hungrier than ever for the next big Australian Film with a regional setting! If you think you have it, all we need is the title and log line, first 5 pages of your screenplay, your CV, a description of the setting and a 1,000 word treatment, outlining your full vision for the film. 

Up to five finalists will be selected to pitch their ideas to our judging panel, comprised of General Manager of Content for Event Cinemas Claire Gandy, Actor and Writer Pallavi Sharda (LION, RETROGRADE, LES NORTON), See Pictures Producer Isabel Stanfield (LONG STORY SHORT, BREATH), Head of Production at GoodThing Productions Virginia Whitwell (THE AUSTRALIAN DREAM, 2040, ALL FOR ONE) and Industry Director for Melbourne International Film Festival Mark Woods (H IS FOR HAPPINESS, BRAN NUE DAE, THE TURNING).

FINALISTS WILL BE PITCHING FOR THE CHANCE TO RECEIVE:

• Professional script development sessions
• Invaluable feedback and mentorship from the esteemed judging panel
• Profiling and industry opportunities through the Australian Writers’ Guild Pathways program
• A three day pass to all sessions at the Screenworks 2021 Regional to Global Screen Forum
• AACTA annual membership
• Screenworks annual membership
• Australian Writers’ Guild annual membership
• Two tickets to the 2021 AACTA Awards and Official After Party
