TALKING TV: THE FUTURE OF AUSTRALIAN CONTENT

Aussie TV is far from dead. Good Australian content goes beyond the daily ratings, it enriches our social fabric and is an important economic driver, job creator and narrator of our times.

In the age of streaming, what is the future of Australian TV?

Australian-created television and film content delivers more than entertainment. It is an important economic driver, creating jobs, promoting tourism, informing voters and holding the powerful to account.

But in the age of digital platforms and the NBN, Australian media business models are adapting to a new market and regulatory landscape.

Join CEDA as James Warburton, Managing Director and CEO of Seven West Media, outlines what’s next for Australian TV, including the future of content and how it’s consumed. The event will also see the release of research undertaken by ACIL Allen on the significant economic, cultural and tourism impact of Home and Away over the past 34 years

James Warburton, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Seven West Media
Melinda Cilento, Chief Executive, CEDA
