Mental health issues not only impact the individual, but also their workplace, particularly where there is a claim that the mental health issue is a workplace injury. With a tripling of mental health compensation claims in the last 20 years, the challenge for organisations is to take a proactive and risk-based approach to minimising psycho-social hazards.
