Cooper Grace Ward Queensland Workshops - More taxing issues for trusts
Workshop - More taxing issues for trusts
The more we delve into the world of family trusts, the more we find!
Following our earlier roadshows, we have been fielding lots of questions about the areas we covered, and how to deal with them – some after the ATO has come to help.
In this session, we will use a workshop format to explore these trust issues that advisers have been coming across, and how we have resolved them.
Issues we will be discussing include:
trustees excluded as beneficiaries, and how to deal with the ATO questioning distributions to non-beneficiaries
deliberately removing family members from trusts (for example, as a result of family law settlements or family disputes)
ineffective changes of trustee
lost trust deeds and variations
tracing the identity of the principal/appointor/guardian
other problem trust deed provisions.
As these are such hot topics, we are running this session in multiple locations and we hope to see you there!
