Help us help someone with cancer. Help us Paint the Town Red. Print
Friday, 16 April 2010, 7:00pm - 11:30pm

We need you to help us Paint the Town Red!

From April 1st to June 30th, Mummy's Wish will be undertaking a campaign called Paint the Town Red. This special campaign aims to raise much-needed funds for Mummy's Wish and increase awareness about the important services we offer. Paint the Town Red also hopes to see an increase in blood donations and better educate the community about the strong association between blood donations and cancer and is supported by the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.

The campaign will launch with a Red Cocktail Gala Evening on Friday April 16, 2010 at Kedron Wavell Services Club. 500 guests will gather to show their support for cancer, for a fun night of live entertainment, auctions and raffles. We would love for you to join us and help us raise funds to support mothers with cancer. It would be wonderful if you were able to get a group of friends together and all come along and have a wonderful evening and help support mothers with cancer.

To help us make this campaign a success, we would appreciate it if you could please forward this information to others in your network.

Mummy's Wish is a not-for-profit charity focusing on supporting mothers diagnosed with cancer while either pregnant or with young children. Mummy's Wish is a very personalised support service for mums. We ease the burden of cancer diagnosis on our mums by supporting them in a variety of ways including (specific assistance depends on specific situation)

    * Providing referrals and information on other services and support available
    * Providing goodie bags to mums to brighten their day
    * Offering family portraits prior to treatment
    * Granting wishes for our mums

Participants can join the campaign by visiting the website www.paintthetownred.org.au and making a donation to Mummy's Wish and/or registering to donate blood. Supporters may also like to participate in a Paint the Town Red activity such as spreading the word about the need for blood donations or organising Paint the Town Red Day at their workplace (dressing in red, dying their hair red or holding a red morning tea).

If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please visit http://www.mummyswish.org.au/files/pdf/PTTR_Sponsorship.pdf to view the sponsorship proposal.
