Reserve Bank of Australia board member Jillian Broadbent AO will address the QUT Business Leaders' Forum on May 26.

Ms Broadbent is one of Australia's most accomplished female company directors.

She has been a member of the RBA's board of directors since 1998, and last year was appointed her third consecutive five-year term.

Ms Broadbent is also a director of Coca Cola Amatil and SBS. She has previously spent 10 years on the board of Woodside Petroleum Ltd and has served as president of Chief Executive Women, an organisation of corporate leaders.

Her accolades include being named the Qantas/Bulletin Businesswoman of the Year, receiving the Australian Centenary Medal in 2001 for her contribution to the community and being awarded the Order of Australia in 2003.

Ms Broadbent will discuss her experiences at the highest levels of corporate life, the resilience of leadership during periods of adversity and the "art of recovery".

The forum will be moderated by Kerry O'Brien from ABC TV's 7.30 Report.
