The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is thrilled to present a brand new exciting series which will transport your taste buds to heaven... the CAROSELLO ITALIANO Cooking classes!
Created with the concept to allow you travel around Italy through the wonderful and tantalising experience of food, wine and culture, CAROSELLO ITALIANO consists of cooking demonstrations by some of Australia and Italy's best chefs at some of Brisbane's best fine-dining restaurants. After watching the chef at work, you will be able to sit down and enjoy the meal that has been prepared, accompanied with matching wines flown in especially for the event, cultural and historical information about the region, as well as recipe cards so you can prepare these dishes at home! And we will even tell you where you can get those hard-to-get ingredients.
The first in our series is the exotic island of Sardegna. Come and watch how Master Chef, Lorenzo Spezzamonte from Brisbane's renowned VIALE CANOVA RESTAURANT wows you with his technique of preparing unusual and colourful dishes from this vibrant region. Lorenzo, who has extensive international experience, is considered one of Brisbane's and Italy's best chefs. Dishes include: Home-made pasta with Bottarga, Malloreddus Marinara finished with Bottarga, Antipasto Sardo, Risotto con Maiale.
