OAMPS Insurance Brokers wins Tannock PDF  | Print |  Email

OAMPS Insurance Brokers purchased Cairns based John Tannock Insurance Brokers recently.

The move is part of ongoing plans by OAMPS to selectively expand its insurance broking operations and will make OAMPS one of the largest insurance brokers in Cairns.

Principal, John Tannock said, "I considered a range of options for my business and I believe that OAMPS was able to offer the best outcome for my clients and people.  I was keen to ensure my clients would retain the same high levels of service and trust that John Tannock Insurance Brokers has provided over the past 29 years. 

"This move will ensure my clients continue to get the same great local service supported by the resources of one of the largest Australian owned insurance brokers."

Scott Denning, northern region manager of OAMPS said.  "John Tannock Insurance Brokers is a well run business with great clients. The business is complementary to our existing Cairns operation.

"OAMPS has been committed to meeting the insurance needs of the business community in Far North Queensland for over 15 years and the purchase of John's business further demonstrates our commitment to this area of Queensland.

In terms of employees, OAMPS is the second largest broker in the Queensland market and one of the largest in Australia. OAMPS first opened an office in Cairns in 1992 and now has six offices across Queensland.
